The Challenge

Show the national press that our client is the future of reliable, affordable energy.

The Rehearsal

Flawless. The lighting, the screens and the sound all ran perfectly, every evening, without fault.

The Moment

Ten minutes to the press briefing.

The journalists took their seats.

Everything went off.

The Insight

Our Wellbeing & Sustainability Champion, Hen-ree, saw immediately what the room needed.

"This isn't a power cut. It's a pause."

The Pivot

In a bold, real-time reframe, the launch became an immersive demonstration of demand-side response. The CEO's keynote was delivered by phone torchlight to 200 journalists, who described it as "intimate" and "very quiet".

As the lights went out, Dr. Henrick rose and addressed the room: "When the power returns, you will remember this as the most intimate briefing of your career." Several journalists still do.

Strategic Engagement Lead H. Davey has since developed the approach into a framework called Energy Mindfulness, now available as a 48-slide deck, which cannot currently be shown.
