Head of Freelancer Engagement

Despite never having been freelance himself, Hank brings real insight and empathy to onboarding and contracting freelancers.

"Freelancers tell me how reassuring it is to receive a 40-page contract for a two-day job," says Hank. "It shows we've thought of everything."

Hank also pioneered the post-event purchase order. "Raising the PO after the event shows just how flexible we are. We trust our freelancers to start work on goodwill alone. That's a real partnership."

On IR35, Hank is clear: "Nobody understands IR35. That's why we send a 30-question form about it."
